Halloween Fine Motor Center Fun! Here is a peek at our Halloween Fine Motor Center, hope you find a few things you can do with your kiddos too!
1. Spider web rubbing: Draw a spider web with elmers glue onto black cardstock. After it is dry, tape it onto a table. Place a white paper over the web. Give a child a crayon with the paper removed. Let the child rub over the white paper using the crayon. Use orange, black, and purple crayons for Halloween. See more examples and directions at Pre-K Pages.
2. Felt Pumpkin Faces: Cut pumpkin shapes out of orange felt. Cut face shapes out of black felt. Let the children create different jack-o-lantern faces.
3. Candy Corn Color Sorting: Sort different color beads onto the candy corn to fill in the candy corn. Have the child use pincher grasp while sorting the beads. You can also provide tweezers and have the child tweeze the beads onto the candy corn.
4. Halloween Dominoes: Cut strips of black paper. Place Halloween themed stickers on each end of the black strips and laminate. You will need two of each sticker. Have the children match the ends with the same picture. Demonstrate that the strip can be placed at different angles but the matching stickers should be touching just as in dominoes.
